i. Happy Hour Friday 5:30-7:30 Cohen Terrace G14 with Thai food and full bar and beer and wine. Free for SAS students, $5 for non-SAS or non-Penn students—as long as they’re cool, Scott Ordway says.
ii. Also Happy Hr tonight, don’t forget.
iii. Scrabble tournament forthcoming Olympics style—meaning each dept gets a team, assembled of 4 students likely. There will be a bar. Late November.
i. New Travel grant we’re starting. App info and forms on SAS website now.
- Public Affairs:
i. Applications! Are! Up! For! Event! Funding! And! Travel! Grant! on our website’s Funding Portal at sasgov.org/funding. You can find out in our website info about getting funding from several bodies/institutions, including our own but also others. Info:
- Can apply for up to $1,000 from SASGOV funding.
- Can apply for up to $300 from SAS in funding.
- Can apply for up to $500 from GAPSA in funding.
*all of these applications require letters of recommendation, C.V., other requirements and our website tells you where you’re to submit each one.
Penn Park situation: grad students currently required to pay $250/hr to use courts or fields at Penn Park, while Penn undergraduates pay nothing. Our favorite project to date.
