“Does my research matter?  Connecting research with the broader world”

After long, stressful hours in the library or lab, ever get bothered by that nagging question of whether what you are studying really matters?  Do you find yourself struggling to explain your research to family and friends?  This student-led discussion will consider the place of academic research in society.  The discussion is intended to bring together graduate students from an array of disciplines within the SAS and LPS.  Dinner from Cosi will be served.  Please RSVP to sasgov-paffairs@sas.upenn.edu by Thursday, Nov 12 if you’d like to attend.  Sponsored by SASgov.
