SASgov is the Student Government of the Graduate Students in the School of Arts and Sciences at Penn.

We're made of an Executive Board and a General Body. With the exception of the President, who presides, and the VP of Communications, who sends out the weekly emails, members of the Executive Board head the following Committees at fort-nightly General Body Meetings:

• Social - Brings you regular SAS Happy Hours and other Special Events such as the annual GAPSA-SAS Social, and the Holiday Party
• Policy - Works with GAPSA and the University at large to facilitate better graduate student quality of life. Currently the Policy Committee is hard at work with GAPSA in trying to lower membership fees at Pottruck, the on-campus gym
• Finance - Distributes SASgov funds. Got a special project you need to finance? Presenting at a conference out of town? Apply for SAS funds!
• Public Affairs - manages SAS public image through the website and is expanding to other, further reaching mediums of social network and information sharing. We built this website.
